    You get 20 seconds per question. One hint per climb, for 20 points.

    Closer climbs higher

    Small numbers must be exact. Big numbers just need to be very close. A perfect guess earns 100 points and 2,000 ft, and seven reach 14,000 ft. Quick answers add a small speed bonus.

Everyone gets the same questions each day. Practice uses random ones and does not count.

Answers are rounded, commonly cited figures. You score on how close you get, not on an exact match.

Catamount is a free daily trivia game where every answer is a number. Each climb has seven questions about prices, years, distances, heights, counts, speeds, lengths of time and sizes. You are scored on how close you get, not on whether you match the answer exactly, and each point you earn lifts Pico, a pixel-art mountain lion cub, further up a mountain at night. Seven perfect answers reach the 14,000 foot summit.
